Shane Hunter is a Technical Advisor to Butterfly and focuses primarily on the aquaculture sector, and currently serves as a board observer of Pacifico Aquaculture.
In addition to Butterfly, Mr. Hunter is the Managing Partner and Technical Director of the AquaBioTech Group, a role he has held since 2003. AquaBioTech Group is a specialized aquaculture and fisheries consulting, engineering and technical advisory firm that is based in Malta and operates globally with clients and projects in over 55 countries. Mr. Hunter brings over 20 years of aquaculture and fisheries experience, and has led a number of high-profile technical due-diligence assessments and operational risk assessments of global aquaculture operations for international banks, insurance companies and investment entities. Mr. Hunter graduated from the University of Plymouth with a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries Science.
