Nicole O’Neil is a Director on Butterfly’s Portfolio Operations Team where she leads a significant portion of the Firm’s portfolio company work in food and beverage product businesses. In this role, Ms. O’Neil works directly with investment and portfolio teams in the identification, design and delivery of long-term value creation. She brings nearly ten years of experience leading transformations within the food and beverage industry, spanning roles as an operating executive and as a strategic consultant.
Prior to joining Butterfly, Ms. O’Neil was a Director of Marketing at Kraft Heinz where she managed the P&Ls for several of the company’s flagship brands including Heinz, Jell-O and Ore-Ida. Her expertise includes strategic planning, brand building, sales, marketing, big bet innovation, new product launches, licensing and license management and operations. She has worked across a broad portfolio of brands and categories, having managed stable mature businesses, led turnaround situations and incubated smaller brands.
Earlier in her career, Ms. O’Neil worked at L.E.K. Consulting where she primarily focused on long-term strategy projects for food and beverage clients and commercial due diligence for private equity clients. Ms. O’Neil has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Psychology from Northwestern University and an MBA in Marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
