Meredith Sandland is a Technical Advisor to Butterfly with subject matter expertise in digital disruption and off-premise foodservice distribution. Ms. Sandland has over 20 years of experience in foodservice, retail and consumer businesses and currently serves as EVP, Chief Store Development Officer at Starbucks.
Ms. Sandland previously served as Chief Operating Officer for Kitchen United, a shared commercial kitchen developer backed by Google Ventures (2017-2020). As founding Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Sandland developed the company’s business model, product & digital footprint and stewarded the business through multiple capital raises. Ms. Sandland also previously held various leadership positions within Taco Bell (2011-2017). As Chief Development Officer, she quadrupled Taco Bell net new unit growth, relaunched the concept to accommodate modern demands including digital interaction, added over 1,000 units to the brand, and over $1 billion in system sales. Prior to Taco Bell, Ms. Sandland was a consultant with Bain & Company for over a decade. She led private equity and corporate M&A strategic diligence in the retail, restaurant and technology industries.
