Emily Parker is the Executive Director of the Butterfly Equity Foundation, where she oversees the Foundation’s overall strategy and operations, including identifying and vetting potential grantee partners, fundraising, impact strategy, and analysis.
Emily brings more than 15 years of nonprofit experience, specializing in philanthropy, fundraising, grantmaking, and organizational operations. Prior to joining the Foundation, she served as Director of Development at Food Forward, where she helped significantly expand the organization’s hunger relief and food recovery efforts across Southern California, increasing annual fundraising by more than 400 percent during her tenure. She previously worked in grants management and operations at Fundamental, a Los Angeles-based philanthropic advising firm.
Ms. Parker serves as Treasurer of the Board of Safe Place for Youth and as a board member of the LA Community Garden Council. She is also a co-founder and leader of LA Food Funders and serves on the membership committee of Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems Funders.
Emily earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from New York University.
