Dustin Beck is a Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Butterfly. Mr. Beck has over 15 years of investing and operating experience with a primary focus on consumer and technology, and is responsible for deal origination, transaction execution, portfolio management and overall leadership of Butterfly. To date, Mr. Beck has been involved in transactions totaling over $2 billion of invested capital. Mr. Beck currently serves on the board of directors of each of Chosen Foods, MaryRuth's, Pete and Gerry's, Bolthouse Farms, Pacifico Aquaculture, and the Butterfly Equity Foundation.
Prior to founding Butterfly, Mr. Beck launched and led the eSports business of Riot Games, publisher of the critically-acclaimed video game League of Legends, where he helped drive the most popular video game in the world to also become the fastest growing spectator sport of all time, and now one of the most watched sports in the world. Prior to joining Riot Games in 2012, Mr. Beck worked at Vista where he joined as the twelfth employee and was involved with 13 transactions in the enterprise software space. Mr. Beck ultimately helped to launch Vista Consulting Group, which was responsible for codifying and implementing dozens of Vista Best Practices across Vista’s investment portfolio. Prior to joining Vista in 2008, Mr. Beck worked at Goldman Sachs & Co. where he was part of the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Investment Banking team. Mr. Beck graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science.
