Mr. Kirkbride is a Partner on the Investment Team at Butterfly and is a member of the Firm’s Investment Committee. Mr. Kirkbride joined the Firm in 2016 shortly after its founding and is responsible for deal origination, transaction diligence, execution and portfolio management for the Firm. Mr. Kirkbride has been actively involved with Butterfly’s investments in Actus Nutrition, QDOBA, Chosen Foods, MaryRuth Organics and Orgain. He currently serves on the boards of Actus Nutrition, QDOBA and Chosen Foods.
Prior to joining Butterfly, Mr. Kirkbride worked at Sixth Street Partners, formerly known as TPG Sixth Street Partners, where he was a member of the investment team. During his time at Sixth Street, he was involved in the firm’s investment in Spotify as well as the acquisition of a $1.3 billion distressed portfolio from Credit Suisse. Previously, Mr. Kirkbride worked at Moelis & Company, where he was involved in a variety of mergers, acquisitions and restructuring transactions.
Mr. Kirkbride holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
